Jacqueline Coleman is a lifelong Kentuckian and public servant, raised on a farm in Mercer County. She is an educator, basketball coach, and nonprofit leader who serves as the fifty-eighth lieutenant governor of Kentucky – the highest elected teacher in the Commonwealth. Before her election as Lieutenant Governor, Jacqueline was a passionate advocate for public education, teaching high school civics in her hometown of Burgin before serving as an assistant principal at Nelson County High School.
As an educator and elected official, Jacqueline has fought to expand access and resources for Kentucky public schools, worked to secure more than $40 million for student mental health resources and led the charge to provide free GED tests for Kentuckians looking to get their degrees
Jacqueline lives in Frankfort with her husband, Chris, and is a mom to Evelynne, adopted mom to her daughter Emma and a bonus mom to Will and Nate. She is a proud rural Kentuckian and Centre College graduate, and is currently finishing a doctorate in educational leadership at the University of Kentucky.
